HANIA RANI - NOSTALGIA

On 6 October 2023, the release date of Hania Rani’s third solo album, the tremendous Ghosts, the Polish pianist and composer performed a very special concert to celebrate. For the show at Witold Lutosławski's Concert Studio at the Polish Radio in Warsaw, Rani was joined by her regular collaborator Ziemowit Klimek on double bass and moog, as well as a  power-house eight-piece string ensemble featuring some of Poland’s best classical musicians. As well as the full concert, the LP an extra performance – a thrilling interpretation of ‘Nostalgia’, the closing track of Ghosts, recorded at Rani’s concert at the Roundhouse in London.

The beautifully packaged LP also features a 16-page booklet of photographs of the Polish Radio studios taken by Rani herself,  and her thoughts on the recording, studios and the compositions. Nostalgia is a must for fans of Rani’s singular mix of electronic, ambient and classical minimalism.
