Since Truly's initial limited release in 2021, the profile of Manchester's Caoilfhionn Rose (pronounced Keelin') has grown significantly, and the re-release of this magnificent album, on the terrific Gondwana Records, will undoubtedly win her legions more fans. While drawing from a diverse array of genres including folk, jazz, ambient, electronica and psychedelia, the young singer-songwriter has already developed a sound all her own, and Trulyis perhaps best described as having the compositional and melodic chops to match the best work of Sharon Van Etten, with the gorgeous, expansive production of Warpaint's Radiate Like This- which makes total sense given that the LP was produced by Kier Stewart of Manchester legends The Durutti Column.
