There were so many good indie-rock bands in the 1990s that its easy to forget about bands like Belly. They were folrmed by Tanya Donnelly after she left Throwing Muses and got immediate success with their debut album Star. King followed in 1995 and though it didn't yield hits like Star it was more of a low-key but artistically satisfying album.
