D’Addio is the sonic project of Italian multi-instrumentalist producer and singer-songwriter Giulia Scarantino. D’Addio means both goodbye and welcome — a farewell to who we've been and an embrace of the infinite selves we’ve yet to become.
Entirely written, produced, and mixed by Giulia in the intimate setting of her studio-bedroom, the album embraces the rawness of its environment. Its sound is textured with imperfections: background noises, sirens, hums, and vocals whispered so close to the mic they nearly blur into distortion — not to hide fear, but to dance with it.
Featuring collaborations with Marco Machera, Toni Nordlund, Marco Quarantotto, Roberto Segala, and Joe Sharp, and mastered by Fabrizio De Carolis at Reference Studio in Rome, the album reflects a vulnerable yet fearless sonic world.
