Discovery Zone’s Library Copy Do Not Remove, led by JJ Weihl, began as a spatial audio piece for Berlin’s Zeiss-Groß Planetarium, designed to surround listeners in a multi-dimensional sonic environment. Reworked for stereo with producer E/T, it translates that immersive concept into a more intimate form without losing its scope.
Weihl explores the overlap between the physical and digital, treating nature and technology as interdependent forces. Drawing on ideas from science, philosophy and speculative fiction, the album unfolds like a creation myth for a simulated universe—where data, consciousness and environment continually reshape one another.
Built using Ambisonics and later reimagined for stereo, the music blends electronic textures with organic elements, moving between abstraction and melody. The result is a fluid, concept-driven set that considers perception, systems and the structures that underpin reality itself.
