You know the song ...(sings) "Let me go on...like I blister in the sun". An indie classic and a lot of the reason why Violent Femmes' 1983 debut has become a cult record. Their brand of nervy and minimal folk-rock was somewhat refreshing at the time and it has been argued (by me) that Gordon Gano invented Frank Black's singing style. This 40th-anniversary edition comes with a trove of B sides, rare tracks and radio sessions and an essay by journalist David Fricke.
