Graham Coxon's third solo album, Crow Sit On Blood Tree, was originally released in 2001 and marked a major step forward in his songwriting. Tracks such as 'Burn It Down' and 'You Will Never Be' carry the raw, fuzzed-up energy familiar from Blur's 'Song 2', while 'All Has Gone' and 'Thank God For The Rain' reveal a quieter side influenced by Nick Drake and Bert Jansch. Recorded, mixed and mastered in just two weeks, it's an adventurous set that reflects Coxon's willingness to follow his instincts wherever they lead.
