Pavement present a soundtrack as idiosyncratic as their career, compiled by longtime collaborator Robert Greene alongside the band. It gathers fragments from across their expanding world: dialogue from the feature film, scenes from the spoof biopic Range Life, numbers from the Slanted! Enchanted! jukebox musical, and recordings captured during the group’s 2021 reunion tour.
Full-band sessions were mixed by Bryce Goggin, whose fingerprints are on classics like Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, Wowee Zowee, and Brighten the Corners. Alongside these are appearances from cast members including Joe Keery, Zoe Lister-Jones, Michael Esper, and Kathryn Gallagher, plus a guest spot from Snail Mail recorded at the Pavement Museum in New York. The result is a collage of voices, performances, and perspectives that reframes Pavement’s songs within film, theatre, and live settings.
