Devotional and visceral, patient and euphoric, a poem, a hymnal. Shygirl calls 'Swallow!' a reintroduction. 'Swallow!' is a new kind of rapturous indie songwriting, woven through the electronica she came from, recorded with Karma Kid and Casey MQ. It is the scripture of the cult of falling in love - radiant, clear-eyed, all-encompassing, divine transformation. 'I want people to remember how big the world is even when you feel so small and singular' she says. 'Swallow!' is the soundtrack to that experience. 'This record is my message in a bottle. Let's see who picks it up'.
