DjRUM brings the two sides of his music together for DJ-Kicks: the spontaneity of his three-deck sets and the meticulous approach of his studio work. Built around four original pieces alongside exclusive tracks from Skee Mask and Clark, the mix was recorded live from vinyl before being cut up, collaged and overdubbed. Ambient, breakcore, classical music, acid and frantic percussion collide throughout, moving between carefully constructed passages and sudden, unruly turns. It’s an unpredictable snapshot of a producer equally at home with detailed composition and the chaos of the dancefloor.
