After first sharing a stage in 1988, Scream and Soulside reunited at a Polish festival in 2022, sparking further tours and a mutual appreciation that led to this collaborative release on Dischord. Each band tackles a song from the other's catalogue, with Soulside taking on Scream's 1983 track 'Laissez-Faire' and Scream covering Soulside's 'Reconstruction' from 2022. It's a meeting of two Washington D.C. hardcore institutions, united by decades of friendship, political conviction and a shared commitment to social justice.
