ZAPPAtite offers an accessible route into the sprawling world of Frank Zappa, drawing together music from across his remarkable career. Compiled by Ahmet Zappa and longtime archivist Joe Travers, it traces a path from the early work of The Mothers of Invention through Zappa’s explorations of rock, jazz, orchestral music and biting satire.
Built around a playful menu concept, the collection features favourites including 'I'm The Slime', 'Peaches En Regalia', 'Valley Girl', 'Joe's Garage', 'Cosmik Debris' and 'Don't Eat The Yellow Snow'. Along the way it highlights Zappa’s sharp humour, adventurous songwriting and instrumental prowess, from the disco parody 'Dancin' Fool' to the Synclavier-driven 'G-Spot Tornado' and the expansive 'Zoot Allures'.
The collection closes with a performance of 'Strictly Genteel' featuring the London Symphony Orchestra, underlining the breadth of Zappa’s musical vision.
