Allah-Las take a more exploratory path on their sixth album, Sirenas, embracing atmospheric instrumental pieces built from freeform improvisation and instinctive collaboration. Inspired by the cinematic soundscapes of The Durutti Column, I.A.O. and Popol Vuh's work with Werner Herzog, the album also draws on the underwater world of Jacques Cousteau's The Silent World. The result is a collection of spacious, evocative compositions that move between psychedelic drift, ambient moods and understated groove.
