The 2021 "mini album" from Blackaby made up from the London artist's first two EPs. "I'm just quite a simple, basic human," William Blackaby says of himself. Recording music under his surname, Blackaby’s songs trace the non-linear, confusing journey of childhood and personal growth within the framework of warm, comforting indie-folk sounds; his is music about slowly, steadily coming to terms with yourself, where you’ve been, and where you might tentatively be heading.
Blackaby’s 2020 debut EP ‘What’s On The TV?’, released via Hand In Hive, served as a look back at the songwriter’s childhood, recounting hazy playground memories and his messy, formative teenage years. His second collection, ‘Everything’s Delicious’, is described by Blackaby as “another brief flirt with memory lane - not walking down it as much as peering from a safe distance”. Both EPs are presented together via Hand In Hive, on recycled vinyl.
