CRAVEN FAULTS - STANDERS

While the identity of the producer behind Craven Faults remains a closely guarded secret (perhaps it's Cliff Richard again?) their influences are not. Craven Faults’ love for the analogue electronica of the great German kosmische duo Cluster is obvious, but the Yorkshire-based (we’re told) producer is one of the elite few whose imagination can be said to match that of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius (the excellent Warp trio Plone are also on this rarified list). Craven Faults’ third album, Standers, then, is warm, circuitous, rhythmically dazzling retrofuturist electronica (retronica?) of the best kind – and given that live shows are planned for September, we’ll soon be able to know who the extremely talented person behind it all is. Unless they do a deadmau5, which would be a shame.
