Released in September 2003, Ghetto Pop Life is a collaborative album between hip-hop producer Danger Mouse and NYC-based rapper Jemini (or Jemini The Gifted One). Pairing a jazzy, louche production style with Jemini’s cartoonish, old-school raps, it was a fun and evocative debut album calling back to bands like Souls Of Mischief, A Tribe Called Quest and The Pharcyde (the latter of whom guest on the record itself).
