Chilli Jesson first broke through with Palma Violets, but when the band ended in his early twenties, he was left creatively adrift. He tried to start again with Crewel Intentions, then moved into pop songwriting to stay afloat, but the work left him detached from the music that once shaped him. A turning point came when Fontaines D.C. invited him on tour — reconnecting him with the loud, emotionally unfiltered music that first mattered. That jolt of recognition sent him back to writing instinctively again. Working with Rupert Greaves, he formed Dead Dads Club. This is the first release from this new chapter: direct, personal, and rooted in experience rather than expectation.
