Jean-Hervé Péron's MOI (Maybe Of Interest) draws together ideas, memories and unfinished projects gathered across a lifetime of fearless experimentation. Credited to FaUSt, with the "US" deliberately capitalised, the album reflects his belief that music is built through collaboration rather than individual authorship, with more than 20 contributors from the extended Faust family joining the sessions.
Recorded over two winter weeks in northern Germany, MOI embraces improvisation, chance and meticulous composition in equal measure. Childhood memories, Fluxus thinking and dadaist humour collide with musique concrète, avant-pop, jazz, spoken word and experimental electronics to create music that's constantly surprising yet held together by Péron's playful curiosity.
