Fucked Up conclude their Grass Can Move Stones trilogy and 20-year Zodiac project with Year of the Rooster, a sprawling 90-minute epic packed with psychedelic rock, prog, AOR, punk, thrash and doom. Driven by towering guitars and the band's own tangled mythology, it's an ambitious, unpredictable affair featuring an impressive cast of guests, including Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), John Brannon (Negative Approach), Debsey Wykes (Dolly Mixture), Keith Morris (Circle Jerks), Graeme MacKinnon (Home Front) and Mac Kennedy (Poison Ruin). A suitably wild conclusion to one of punk's most ambitious undertakings.
