Italian ambient maestro Gigi Masin released his debut album Wind in 1986, creating a dreamlike blend of minimal piano, free classical music and Balearic new age. Serene, spacious and gently melancholic, it has since become a cult favourite and a defining work in Masin’s catalogue. Forty years on, Wind still has the peculiar nocturnal beauty of music heard somewhere between waking and dreaming.
