Graham Coxon returns with Castle Park, a previously unreleased solo album recorded in 2011. Produced by Ben Hillier during sessions that led to A+E, the record was originally intended as its follow-up before being set aside as blur resumed activity.
Across ten tracks, Castle Park draws on Coxon’s melodic, mod-influenced songwriting, balancing direct guitar work with a stripped-back approach. ‘Billy Says’, a long-standing fixture in his live sets, appears here in its first official studio form.
The release also marks the start of a wider campaign revisiting Coxon’s solo catalogue, alongside The Sky is Too High and The Golden D, with further albums and soundtrack work to follow. Known for his restless approach—spanning indie, folk, experimental textures and screen composition—Coxon’s solo output remains a key counterpart to his work with blur.
