Graham Coxon's fourth solo album, The Kiss Of Morning, marked another step forward in his songwriting and arrangements. 'Baby You're Out Of My Mind' draws on the fingerpicked folk of early Bob Dylan, 'Locked Doors' leans into loose R&B boogie and 'It Ain't No Lie' taps the raw garage rock that was coming to the fore in the early 2000s. Less lo-fi than his earlier records, it features pedal steel from B.J. Cole and keyboards by Louis Vause. "I felt free to do whatever I wanted to do," says Graham. "I was expanding my sound and also finding a bit more calm in my songs."
