Graham Coxon - The Sky Is Too High

£27.99 £26.59 Sale Pre-Order

The Sky Is Too High is the debut solo album from Graham Coxon, first released in 1998. Written, recorded and produced by Coxon, it presents a lo-fi, unvarnished set of songs that lean into intimacy and understatement, marking a clear departure from his work with blur at the time.

Hints of this direction had surfaced earlier in ‘You’re So Great’, but here Coxon fully commits to a stripped-back approach, with ‘I Wish’ standing as a key moment. Originally issued on his own Transcopic label, the album captures a more personal and exploratory side of his songwriting.

Alongside The Golden D, this release forms part of a wider reissue campaign covering Coxon’s solo catalogue, which spans studio albums and soundtrack work.

Renowned for his role in blur as well as his varied solo output, Coxon’s work consistently draws on experimental and indie influences, moving between folk-leaning material, motorik rhythms and film composition.
