On third album FANGS, HMLTD abandon the orchestral scale of The Worm for a collision of EBM, goth, rave and black metal. Now joined by Theo Spark and Andrei Martynchyk, Henry Spychalski and Duc Peterman drew inspiration from Fad Gadget, DAF, Nitzer Ebb, Suicide and Bauhaus alongside Crystal Castles, Justice and German hardcore. Written amid an obsession with vampire lore, ruined castles and digital horror, FANGS sets pounding bass and euphoric synths against guttural howls and bleak lyrics: sinister, funny and built for the dancefloor.
