An astonishing commercial and artistic success, Kate Bush’s fifth album Hounds Of Love can credibly be called the greatest English album of all time. Released in 1985 after a period of silence following the cold reception afforded to The Dreaming three years before, it’s a masterpiece of two halves - the first containing the hit singles ‘Hounds Of Love’, ‘Cloudbusting’, ‘The Big Sky’ and, of course, the wonderful ‘Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)’ that memorably became a viral smash four decades later when featured on Stranger Things. But it’s the second half, the continuous song suite known as The Ninth Wave, that really steals the show.
