Heavily championed by BBC 6 Music, the Guinean born, now Margate-based, singer and multi instrumentalist FALLE NIOKE has captivated audiences across the world with his addictive brand of mercurial afro-pop.
After years spent perfecting his blended sound, which mixes West African rhythms with experimental electronic music - plus notable collaborations with the likes of Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and Barry Can’t Swim - Nioke is now set to release his astounding debut album Love From The Sea on 26th September via Eat Your Own Ears Recordings.
The album was made with the help of new and old collaborators, including Ghost Culture, Johan Hugo (known forhis work with artists like Self Esteem and Baaba Maal), and Mercury Prize winner Mike Lindsay (Tunng / LUMP). Love From The Sea, released 26th September on Eat Your Own Ears Recordings: a defiant debut that showcases a smorgasbord of playful beats born of basement rave culture, hushed, atmospheric soundscapes, and traditional West
African music.
