Written during the touring cycle for Get Sunk, Matt Berninger’s Type It Up grew from songs that changed shape on stage. It includes ‘Martini Me Fatso’, the searching title track and ‘Ask For Water’, alongside Berninger’s take on New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’ and a version of The Velvet Underground’s ‘Who Loves the Sun’ with Rosanne Cash. A bonus acoustic live recording of ‘Martini Me Fatso’, captured in Australia, rounds things out.
