Featuring the Gondwana label-founder’s trademark global-outlook blend of jazz, electronica and spiritual jazz, the EP is a meditative joy, with highlights including the invigorating, uplifting ode to one of Halsall’s favourite landscapes, ‘Newborough Forest’, and the gorgeous ‘Tide and the Moon’, which beautifully evokes the feeling of an encounter with shimmering late-night waters.
