Factory Records originally released New Order’s Substance compilation in 1987. Collecting all singles up to that point, including ‘Blue Monday’, 'Temptation', 'Thieves Like Us', 'Bizarre Love Triangle', 'True Faith', and Joy Division cover ‘Ceremony’ and furnished with B-sides, re-recordings and club-ready remixes, Substance arguably became the Manchester group’s most influential and best-loved record.
