Pet Shop Boys’ A Man From The Future is a musical biography of computer pioneer and codebreaker Alan Turing, written with Turing biographer Professor Andrew Hodges. First performed at the BBC Proms in 2014, the work has been reworked with Sven Helbig for this recording. It combines Pet Shop Boys’ electronics with the Manchester Camerata Octet, Manchester Grammar School Choir and narration by Juliet Stevenson, with string and vocal arrangements by Helbig.
