PJ Harvey presents ‘Voyager’, her first music since 2023’s I Inside the Old Year Dying. Named after NASA’s Voyager probes, the track was recorded with a full orchestra at Miraval Studios in Provence. Sweeping strings meet pulsing synthesiser signals in an icy, ethereal piece inspired by the probes’ decades-long journey through space. Harvey uses the vastness of the cosmos to consider humanity’s fragile place within it, finding a plea for light and love amid the darkness.
