Tokyo-based house composer Soshi Takeda continues to explore low-tempo, absorbing dance music with an emotive pull on Secret Communication. It was recorded against the backdrop of wars and fatherhood, the immersive landscapes on the album representing these events, using balearic synths, abstract piano, and long, stretched-out melodies.
