The Black Keys recorded much of their sixth album, Brothers, at Alabama's legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio, drawing on its Southern soul heritage to create a stripped-back blend of blues rock, funk and garage rock. Produced largely with Mark Neill, the 2010 album marked a commercial breakthrough for Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney following a period of tension between the duo. Featuring 'Tighten Up', produced by Danger Mouse, alongside 'Howlin' for You', 'Next Girl' and 'Everlasting Light', Brothers earned widespread acclaim and won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.
