The Rolling Stones follow Hackney Diamonds with Foreign Tongues, a 14-track album recorded in under a month at Metropolis Studios in West London alongside producer Andrew Watt. Led by the upbeat single ‘In The Stars’, the record finds Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood leaning into the band’s familiar mix of riffs, hooks and blues-rooted rock while opening the door to a broader cast of collaborators.
Alongside core players Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan, the album features appearances from Paul McCartney, Steve Winwood, Robert Smith and Chad Smith. It also includes one of the final recordings by Charlie Watts, captured before his death in 2021.
Foreign Tongues keeps the momentum of the band’s recent resurgence going with a direct, energetic set that balances stadium-sized choruses with looser, more reflective moments.
