Back in his native Dalarna, Sweden, Kristian Matsson reconnected with the polskas, field recordings and local folk music he grew up around. Rather than simply recreating those traditions, Matsson folds their melodies and rhythms into his songwriting, giving his familiar folk sound a distinctly Swedish character.
