Fresh from their self-titled debut, The Womack Sisters bring ‘If I Let You’ to Daptone Records. A dancefloor-ready soul cut with a Latin streak, it runs on percolating güiro, steady organ and punchy percussion. The sisters trade cool, commanding vocals over the rhythm, giving the track plenty of bite alongside its infectious hooks. An instrumental version strips things back to the song’s tightly wound rhythmic core.
