Home is at the heart of This Is the Kit’s seventh album, Ghost Coat. Self-produced by Kate Stables and recorded at Rockfield Studios, it considers homesickness, belonging and the people who make somewhere feel like home. Friendship runs through the record too, with contributions from Richard Dawson, Sam Amidon, Ben Howard, Blumi and brothers Valentin and Marceau Portron. Its title came from a strange staircase shadow in Stables’ home, fitting an album about unseen connections, acceptance and finding comfort in community.
