Various Artists - Deptford Northern Soul Club
Tax included.
Founded by childhood friends Will Foot and Lewis Henderson in 2016, Deptford Northern Soul Club have helped bring northern soul to a fresh generation, taking their parties from southeast London to Glastonbury, Green Man, Tate Modern and beyond. This collection gathers some of the records that have fuelled their dancefloors, including cuts from Candi Staton, Eddie Parker, Rita & the Tiaras, Darrow Fletcher, Mary Love, Alice Clark and the Cavaliers. Less concerned with nostalgia than the enduring power of great soul music, it captures the spirit of a club night built around community, dancing and seriously good records.
