Industrial Growth is the seventh album from Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan, aka Gordon Chapman-Fox. Much of the material began as a suite commissioned for Roadburn Festival in 2024, later developed on tour. Chapman-Fox ramps up the distortion, dissonance and mechanical force, from the jackhammer rhythms and white noise of ‘This Machine’ to the melancholy electronics of ‘Parkside’ and kosmische pull of ‘Post Industrial Policy’. ‘Astmoor’ brings murky menace before the noise-scarred ‘Industrial Unrest’ closes proceedings.
