Featuring raw early takes of songs including ‘Say It Ain’t So’ and ‘Undone (The Sweater Song)’, the tape reveals the original lineup in explosive, unfiltered form.
Sharp and producer Joe Chiccarelli revisited the 1-inch analog reels at Los Angeles’ East/West Studios, choosing to honour the spirit of the era with a complete analog remix. With Sharp overseeing as executive producer and Chiccarelli handling the mix, the sessions now emerge as 1192, named for the month and year they were recorded.
Stripped back and charged with youthful momentum, 1192 offers a direct line to the band’s beginnings and stands as a vital companion to the record that followed.
