Westside Cowboy started as four friends in Manchester making music with no grand plan beyond having fun. That instinctive approach runs through It Goes On, a debut shaped by chemistry, simplicity and the excitement of figuring things out as they went.
Reacting against more abstract ideas from their earlier projects, the band focused on direct songwriting inspired by early rock’n’roll, The Velvet Underground and classic guitar pop. Songs developed and shifted through live shows, growing into something bigger while keeping their rough-edged immediacy intact. Following wins like Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Competition and tours with Black Country, New Road and Geese, the band found themselves moving quickly.
Recorded with producer Loren Humphrey at Greenmount Studios in Leeds, It Goes On captures a young band running on instinct and momentum. Across eleven tracks, Westside Cowboy channel the confusion, hope and emotional overload of youth into songs that hit with force and leave room for optimism.
